Meet The Host - Lama Sujata

Sujata is a Tamang-born Vancouverite who has been immersing herself in the Vancouver volunteering community since 2015. She is passionate about social entrepreneurship and telling stories, and hopes to create a safe space for migrants and refugees to share their narrative with the world.

With her podcast, Sujata is building a platform for refugees and migrants to share their experiences. Her goal is to provide alleviation from the heavy burden that comes with living in and adapting to a whole new culture. \"I want it to be a safe place to share their ups and downs, and hopefully give the audience an inspiring message to move forward and see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I don't expect that it's going to be the next big thing but just going to put it out there saying 'Hey this is the work that I've done and by the end of this I will be able to listen deeply to the challenges of deep existing systemic problems and assumptions in Canada.\"
